November Cohorted Beauty Box
Cohorted is an online luxury beauty retailer. November is the launch of their first Beauty subscription box. The monthly beauty box costs £35 including postage and is currently available in the UK only. Many readers may consider £35 per month as far too pricey; however, the box contents are worth at least £85. Cohorted dispatches their beauty boxes between the 5th-10th of each month. Payments are taken one month in advance.
My box arrived on the 10th November which is a quick turnover, I was expecting the box to arrive later than this. Upon opening the brown outer packaging, I was greeted by a sleek, black box neatly tied with a black, voile ribbon. At this stage, I am extremely eager to find out what is inside and let me say I was not disappointed.
The first thing I see is the Cohorted booklet, which outlines each product inside the box and gives a detailed description and a retail price for each item.
I put the booklet to one side as I love surprises. Inside the box are 6 items! Yep six! The first thing that catches my eye is the Cargo Essentials Eyeshadow palette, presented in a shiny new box, this palette contains a refreshing range of colours, along with a mirror inside the lid, an eyeliner and doubled ended eye shadow brush. I am extremely pleased as I love the Crago eyeshadow range. The colour payoff for the shadows is excellent quality. After browsing in the booklet, I read that this palette is priced at £35, so already paying for the box itself.
The next item I see is the Laura Mercier, Flawless Facebook Palette in shade nude/sand. This palette is ideal for contouring on the go, as it comes in a black, textured compact with a mirror inside the lid. Included are two concealers one for the undereye and the other for brightening, a tinted moisturiser, a secret blemish concealer and a pressed powder. The palette retails at £38.00. Wow and wow!
My next two items are Nail polishes by Nails Inc. The shades are both interesting, one is an orange colour, named 'Chelsea Flower Show', not my absolute first choice but nevertheless ideal for a change and very befitting for Autumn colours. The next nail polish shade is 'Colville Mews' a beige, light coloured shade ideal for a day-time look. Both polishes have a combined value of £11.00.
The fifth item in the box is an instant eye reviver from 'Bare Minerals' this is described as ideal for reducing the appearance of tired looking eyes. I have to say I was excited to try this as so far I have really enjoy using the Bare Minerals, product range. The eye reviver had a powder like, silky consistency and as directed you only needed a small amount. Upon application, it absorbed really quickly and my undereye area felt and looked smoother. This item retails at £15.00.
The final addition to the box is a sample of Chloe perfume. This smells absolutely yummy, a lovely sweet, floral fragrance which left me wanted to buy a full size instantly.
My overall impression of the Cohorted beauty box is that it is a worthwhile investment. The contents are gorgeous and I am really looking forward to the December beauty box. If you are looking for a subscription box that offers full size, high end beauty products, look no further.

Happy November Skin
Yep! It's that time of year where the cold sets in and I m left reaching for a moisturiser that delivers. That's not as easy as it looks!
I have a criteria for buying:
Price
Fragrance
Easy to apply
Non-greasy
Absorbs well
As I do the bulk of my shopping online due to work commitments it's so important I get this right. However along the way I 've tried and tested a few brands and spent a fair bit to get the
'holy grail' of moisturisers. So here's my favourite five:
Sanctuary Spa White Lily and Damask Rose Body Lotion
This smells absolutely amazing! I fell in love with the fragrance a few months ago. Applying the cream is easy and absorbs nicely. Not the absolute best for leaving skin smooth, but the smell alone is just stunning. Kind of like sweet rose and vanilla pudding. Price is great value at £5.50 from Boots. If you buy from Boots they often do 3 for 2 deals, so always chance to get more.
Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Body Lotion
This is an amazing lotion. It's completely vegan all natural ingredients and free of any nasty chemicals. Not tested on animals...massive thumbs up here! The fragrance is fresh roses. The application is light and smooth in texture. It does give amazing softness, but price wise, the lotion is around £26 so a luxury item.
Nuxe 24 hour Moisturizing Body Lotion
This is a winner for me the smell is, of course amazing, hints of orange blossom and almond blossom, combined with the silky luxuriant texture...its heaven in a bottle! The texture is light and creamy, absorbs quick and skin is so, so soft afterwards. Its great for dry or combination skin. This cream is available at M & S, Boots and Nuxe.com for around £16.50.
Body Shop - Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion
This is a pleasant smelling, lightly fragranced lotion, ideal if your not a fan of strong smelling creams. However, the lotion delivers great moisturising properties and is light and easily absorbed. The lotion costs around £8 for 250ml. It's great for dry skin. The Wild Argan Oil Body range includes; body scrub, hair mask, body butter and body wash.
Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion
This is an excellent body lotion for a pick me up feeling. The lotion contains lemongrass, ginger and rosemary. These ingredients really do awaken you! The lotion is oil-free and is extremely moisturising. Cowshed offer, a fantastic range of unique fragrances lotions and are well worth trying...they do not disappoint! Cowshed range is available at Lookfabtastic.com, feelunique.com
and M & S for around £18-£20.

In Love With Cargo Eyeshadow
Cargo eyeshadows are my favourite. The palettes always feature ample size shadows, a vast range of colour selections and they give a rich, colour pay off. My first love was with the 'Lets Mee in Paris' holiday palette. It's absolutely stunning features a range of beautiful shimmery shades and is ideal for Autumn and Winter looks.
There are a few other excellent Cargo palettes available; the range includes 'The essentials Eye Shadow ' palette, 'Summer in the city', 'Venice Enchantment', 'Shanghai Nights, 'Vintage Escape' and the 'Suited to a Tea' cream shadow palette.
All the above palettes are perfect for all year round looks. However, the 'Suited to a Tea' cream shadow was not as great as the others. The colour payoff seemed quite poor in comparison. I m not a fan of cream shadows as they usually come off pretty easily and never seem to get the same rich depth that a powdered shadow offers me. If you have tried this particular palette and had a similar or opposite experience I would love to hear from you.
Following on my next bid fav is the cargo eyeshadow quad range. I love the case these shadows come in and the mirror which covers the entire lid. The only issue I have with this range is that the palettes do not come with an eyeshadow applicator. The Cargo quad comes in several different shades, I currently have four in my collection; most popular is the Bermuda as seen below.
The Cargo quad range has changed in appearance, but still offers the same great quality shadows. They also have imprinted guidelines on each shadow as where best to apply each colour within the palette. This is great if your not to savvy on which shade to apply where.
Cargo also offers single eyeshadow range in a sturdy tin. There are around 16 different shades to choose and each tin offers 3.5 grams of pure colour bliss. If you are focused in on just one or two particular colours, you can't go wrong with the single shadow range.
Hope you enjoyed my review of the Cargo eyeshadow range x
